Haghani Pedestrian Bridge

Bridge is a structure that can demonstrate a broader range of surroundings’ characteristics. In this design, the bridge does not connect only two points; but it also links urban contexts and streets of Abbas-Abad lands to the cultural district. In the designing, we chose a spiral conic ramp which has a feature to change the perspective in three dimensions of x, y, z. This is because there were a 20-metre difference between two bridges’ height and also the bridge over highway had a standard slope. The view of Alborz Mountain and Tehran city is one of the bridge’s main specifications. The chosen cable system as a structure is due to its symbolic feature and also to lighten the deck. Variety of colors and symbolic elements are suggested and designed based on its sensitivity and location to motivate pedestrians and bike riders.
