Membrane Canopies of iHiT

The Membrane Canopies of iHiT (Iran House of Innovation and Tech) in Kenya were produced and installed by Diba Tensile Architecture in 2021.

iHiT canopies were installed in parts of the yard of the former and old building of the Iranian Embassy, This arc - formed membrane structure has a total area of 413 sqm.

The used fabric in this project was made of PVC-coated polyester, which is a good resistant to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and environmental contaminants.

High translucency and flexibility, as well as a low surface weight matched by excellent tensile strength are main characteristics of membrane structures. This allows you to cover large areas with minimum materials and create diverse shapes and curves.
