Diba Tensile Arcitecure

Central Courtyard of Tajiki Building

Tajiki building has two noethern and southern blocks, separated by a beautiful central courtyard. Diba Tensile Architecture in cooperation with Maffeis Engineering and Consulting has designed and constructed a unique roof cover. This membrane structure has a total area of 288 sqm.

The moment you walk into this courtyard, the first thing that catches the eyes, is the tree-like middle columns holding the arches of the steel frame.

Another feature that makes this structure special is that despite the unsymmetrical walls of the courtyard, we managed to construct a symmetrical structure, fully air and water tight.

The used fabric in this project was made of PVC-coated polyester, which is a good resistant to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and environmental contaminants.
